EarthGAY by the numbers

  • 100+ volunteers
  • 37,674 sq feet of invasive plants removed
  • over 40 compost piles created
  • 4 tires and many many lbs of trash removed
  • 10 yards of mulch spread in ~30 mins

EarthGAY 2019 

Thank you to everyone who participated in EarthGAY in late April!  An extra thank you to OUT There Adventures for hosting the event as well as Christopher Peguero and event partners Patagonia Seattle, the National Parks Conservation Association, Washington Environmental Council, Out for Sustainability and supporters including Heyday and The Saloon.  We loved getting to work with all of you and hope that you’ll come back to join us for future restoration events!

Colman Park selected as Green Seattle Day Site

COLMAN PARK –  GREEN SEATTLE DAY SITE

Each year Green Seattle Partnership holds its largest restoration event and celebration during Green Seattle Day.  This year Colman Park was one of the sites selected for Green Seattle Day. Building on all the work we did in April, planting was accomplished in some of the same areas of upper Colman. 

 

 

We embraced a rainy day along with 90 volunteers in order to plant hundreds of plants, make new friends and improve the park. This was our second large event this year and it was a blast. Photos and more details to come.
